Position Summary
A2 Federal is actively seeking experienced Operational Language Analysts to support SIGINT operations by processing and analyzing voice and/or graphic language materials. You will play a critical role in national security efforts by performing high-level translations, transcriptions, and quality control in support of U.S. intelligence operations.
Key Responsibilities

Scan, sort, and categorize foreign language materials

Translate and/or transcribe spoken and written content into idiomatic, standard American English

Perform quality control review of ILR Level 3 audio and/or text translations

Conduct gisting (summarization) of materials

Prepare formal reports and linguistic products in support of intelligence operations

Collaborate with analysts, linguists, and SIGINT personnel to ensure accuracy and clarity

Use English keyboard for all documentation and reporting tasks
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) — equivalent foreign degrees accepted

In lieu of degree: 4 additional years of relevant work experience (total 14 years)

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the required foreign language(s)

At least 3 years must be in translation, transcription, or gisting

At least 1 year must include quality control of ILR Level 3 audio/text translations

1 year of experience must be within the past 6 years
-
Reporting as a primary duty allowed for up to 3 of the 10 years

ILR Level 3 proficiency in audio and/or text translation
-
May be validated with current NSA Civilian Language Test of Record

ILR score must be documented within the past 2 years

1 year of experience using an English-language keyboard
Preferred Skills

Familiarity with SIGINT systems and protocols

Experience working with U.S. Department of Defense or Intelligence Community

Ability to manage sensitive and classified materials with discretion

Strong analytical and communication skills
