Key Responsibilities of an Audit Specialist
As an Audit Specialist, you will:

Audit new group setups, contract changes, and group terminations.

Design and manage data review processes to ensure reporting accuracy.

Conduct risk-based audits to assess controls and mitigate risks.

Compile audit findings and recommend operational improvements.

Coordinate corrective actions and develop educational materials.

Ensure compliance with state contracts and accreditation requirements.

Troubleshoot and resolve system data load issues.
Qualifications for an Audit Specialist
To succeed as an Audit Specialist, you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

3+ years of auditing or process improvement experience (managed care preferred).

Strong knowledge of state contract and accreditation requirements.

Ability to analyze data, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
