Royal Mail is offering an exciting opportunity for ambitious individuals to join us as an Operations Degree Apprentice in Preston. This structured apprenticeship program allows you to earn a competitive salary while working towards a degree in Management and Business. As an Operations Degree Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience by rotating across different operational teams, depots, and commercial functions. From managing logistics and shift planning to learning about leadership, financial operations, and customer service, you’ll develop essential skills for a rewarding career in operations management. A full UK driving licence is required for this role.

Your Journey as an Operations Degree Apprentice

As an Operations Degree Apprentice, you’ll work varied shifts to fully experience our 24/7 logistics operation. Early starts, late finishes, night shifts, and weekend work are part of the learning journey — but you’ll always receive plenty of notice about your shift patterns.

Shift Patterns:

• Early shifts: from 6am

• Late shifts: up to 10pm

• Night shifts: 5pm to 4am

You’ll travel to multiple sites, so a valid UK driving licence is essential.
