Role Overview

We’re hiring an Operations Lead to oversee and elevate our day-to-day operations in Los Angeles. You’ll serve as a strategic and hands-on leader—managing fleet performance, supervising field teams, resolving on-the-ground issues, and continuously improving operational workflows using data.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in high-growth environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and can balance structure with adaptability. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and city leadership to ensure our robots and teams are performing at their best.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Execution & Fleet Oversight

  • Lead day-to-day city operations including route design, zone launches, and real-time fleet deployment.

  • Monitor system data to adjust plans and ensure robots meet availability and uptime targets.

Team Leadership & Compliance

  • Supervise, train, and dispatch field associates, drivers, and repair technicians.

  • Uphold safety standards and ensure team adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).

Maintenance & Repair Coordination

  • Manage work orders for robot repairs, escalate critical issues, and ensure SOPs are followed.

  • Reduce downtime by optimizing turnaround and prioritization of maintenance tasks.

Data-Driven Optimization

  • Analyze performance metrics, repair logs, and fleet data to identify operational bottlenecks.

  • Develop and iterate on scalable processes that improve productivity and reduce inefficiencies.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Act as the bridge between the field and HQ—communicate real-world insights to engineering and product teams.

  • Validate improvements and provide feedback loops from live deployments.

Hands-On Engagement

  • Participate in field tasks such as charging, inspections, and light repairs to maintain operational awareness and mentor new hires.

Success Metrics

  • Achieve 90%+ robot uptime via proactive scheduling and resource management.

  • Ensure 90% of repairs are completed within SLA timelines.

  • Launch at least 2 efficiency-enhancing process improvements quarterly.

  • Foster a self-reliant, solution-oriented field team culture.

  • Knowledge of process improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
