Operations Supervisor

About the Role

GLOVIS EV Logistics America is seeking an organized and proactive Operations Supervisor (Onekit) to lead lineside processes within our automotive parts logistics operations. You will be responsible for supervising day-to-day consolidation center activities and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth material flow, effective leadership, and process optimization. This role plays a key part in achieving KPI targets in safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage team members to meet key operational KPIs including safety, quality, productivity, and cost.

• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on process efficiency and KPI enhancements.

• Oversee material flow processes to meet customer demand and production schedules.

• Assess training needs, conduct team training, and support employee development.

• Establish and implement SOPs and enforce safety, attendance, and quality standards.

• Prepare reports and monitor compliance with company policies and operational procedures.

• Lead root cause analysis for operational issues and recommend corrective actions.

• Support staffing strategies, Lean manufacturing, and 5S workplace principles.

• Participate in onboarding of new employees, performance evaluations, and team coaching.

• Support internal meetings and communications across nearby facilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred

• Experience:

  • 8+ years in logistics, warehousing, or distribution

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced logistics/production environment

  • Prior experience with KPIs, inventory control, team training, and employee development

• Skills:

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Project management, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Familiarity with Lean and continuous improvement methods

  • Experience with recruiting, training, mentoring, and performance management

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout shift

• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

• Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, tuggers, and stock chasers

• Work in a warehouse environment for extended shifts, including possible overtime

• Use standard office equipment for reporting and administrative duties

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary: $65,500 – $70,000, based on experience and qualifications
