Join Us as an Operative – Deliver Essential Services in Bournemouth
We’re currently seeking a skilled Operative to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team in Bournemouth. As an Operative, you’ll play a vital role in supporting South West Water with repair and maintenance operations, ensuring high-quality drinking water and wastewater services. This is a full-time role (45 hours per week) with shift patterns covering Monday to Sunday.
Key Responsibilities of an Operative
What You’ll Be Doing:

Maintain strict personal and site safety protocols

Perform backfilling, concrete and tarmac reinstatement, and kerb laying

Support reinstatement and site teams in utility service tasks
-
Take on ad-hoc tasks as directed by the management or team leader
What You’ll Need to Be a Great Operative
Requirements for the Role:

A full UK driving licence

Previous experience in utilities or similar manual labor roles

A team-oriented mindset and a safety-first approach
