Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to operate heavy mobile equipment such as front-end loaders, backhoe loaders, skid steer loaders, haul trucks, and other machinery. The role includes maintaining safe operations, conducting inspections, and supporting production efficiency at our New Braunfels, TX facility.
Key Responsibilities

Safely operate heavy and mobile equipment (dozers, loaders, haul trucks, etc.)

Conduct daily/pre-shift inspections on vehicles and equipment

Perform clean-up and general maintenance to ensure a safe work environment

Follow CEMEX and OSHA safety regulations at all times

Assist with repairs, yard loading, and maintenance when required

Interpret and execute written and verbal instructions
-
Report hazards, schedule repairs, and order replacement parts as needed

Wear proper PPE and comply with safety standards

Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
Minimum 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience

5+ years of related experience preferred
-
Ability to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends

English proficiency (bilingual a plus)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong understanding of safe equipment operation

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Effective communication and problem-solving skills
-
Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting ability
Working Conditions

Continuous exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and outdoor environments

Must wear protective equipment at all times

Ability to handle physically demanding work (lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing, pushing, pulling, etc.)
Physical Requirements

Regularly required to walk, sit, climb, lift, push, pull, and operate controls

Must be able to perform job functions safely around heavy rolling equipment

Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and smaller amounts frequently
