Position Summary

As our Ambulatory Surgery Center continues to grow with the addition of six new operating rooms, Vancouver Clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Circulator to join our surgical services team. This role is vital to supporting our expanded service lines, which include multi-specialty outpatient procedures, pediatrics, and robotic-assisted surgeries. The OR Circulator will work directly with the surgical team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and ensure safety throughout the perioperative process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures

  • Apply the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to ensure optimal outcomes

  • Maintain strict adherence to surgical asepsis and infection control practices

  • Track and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment throughout procedures

  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other care team members


Qualifications

  • Current and unencumbered Washington State RN license required

  • Experience in operating room nursing (circulating and scrub) preferred

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required (or must be obtained within 60 days of hire)

  • CNOR certification and conscious sedation experience are desirable

  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly in dynamic situations
