HighPoint is seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator with an active Secret clearance to support critical government and federal projects. As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will design, maintain, and optimize relational databases to ensure performance, security, and reliability across client/server environments. You will work closely with IT managers and project teams to implement solutions that support mission-critical systems while applying your expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and database programming. This is a unique opportunity for an Oracle Database Administrator to contribute to the modernization of federal IT systems and help government agencies deliver exceptional citizen experiences.


Key Responsibilities for Oracle Database Administrator

  • Plan and manage long-term database administration and design requirements in collaboration with IT managers.

  • Design, create, and maintain Oracle databases in client/server environments.

  • Conduct quality control and auditing to ensure accurate and secure use of data.

  • Advise users on database access and implement complex database solutions, including JCL, access methods, validation checks, and security controls.

  • Apply knowledge of database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end/back-end programming languages such as SQL and PL/SQL.

  • Maintain database dictionaries, monitor standards and procedures, and integrate systems through effective database design.


Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with database query languages including Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access.

  • At least 3 years hands-on experience with Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle).

  • Experience with multiple operating systems and programming languages.

  • Proven track record on at least two large-scale projects managing, operating, and securing enterprise databases.


Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Active Secret Clearance (mandatory).

  • DoD 8570 Baseline Certification: IAT Level II.

  • Oracle DBA certification or equivalent Computing Environment certification required.
