Oracle DevSecOps Engineer – REMOTE

Position Overview

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Oracle DevSecOps Engineer to join a fast-growing, mission-driven team supporting a U.S. government agency. This role is fully remote and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) technologies, applying DevSecOps and SRE practices in a secure, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the operation and maintenance of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices

• Build and manage automation pipelines for CI/CD across development, test, and production environments

• Implement strategies for observability, resilience, and multi-cloud deployments

• Ensure all deployments adhere to security and regulatory compliance standards, including FedRAMP

• Evaluate and integrate new cloud services with a focus on IAM and network security best practices

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cloud architecture best practices and DevSecOps principles

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 4 years of experience, or 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a federal security clearance

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including compartments, identity domains, and dynamic groups

  • Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Ansible, Oracle Stacks

  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory

  • Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban

  • Agile tools: Jira, Confluence

  • Containerization: Kubernetes, Helm

  • Scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash

  • Cybersecurity tools: Aviatrix, Orca, Splunk, Qmulous, STIG Scanner

  • Version control systems: Git, GitFlow, GitHub Flow

  • Cloud design principles for high availability, resilience, and scalability

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle OCI certification or equivalent hands-on experience

• Familiarity with Oracle PeopleSoft and PeopleTools

• Experience working in a multi-cloud or federal government environment
