Overview
MarinHealth Orthopedic Care, part of the UCSF Health network, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our growing team. Our orthopedic specialists provide care to thousands of patients annually, offering a full spectrum of services—from prevention and diagnosis to advanced treatment and rehabilitation.

Our collaborative team includes 25 board-certified orthopedic surgeons and advanced practitioners, supported by specialized radiologists, physiatrists, physical and occupational therapists, and orthopedic navigators. MarinHealth Medical Center is proud to be the only hospital in Marin County with a dedicated orthopedic trauma service, utilizing the latest surgical techniques and cutting-edge technology in newly constructed operating suites with dedicated block time.

Our hospital features newly built towers with private patient rooms, state-of-the-art surgical and interventional suites, and an exceptional outpatient surgery center.


Position Highlights

  • Full-time role with MarinHealth Medical Group

  • Join a well-established, multidisciplinary network of primary care, orthopedic, and specialty providers

  • Serve the desirable communities of Marin County and the greater North Bay

  • Participate in a trauma call panel (8 shifts/month)

  • Primary clinic based in San Rafael, with outreach opportunities across the region

  • Support from experienced midlevel providers and administrative staff

  • Opportunities for research and collaboration on clinical initiatives

  • Supported by robust clinical, administrative, philanthropic, and marketing infrastructure

  • Epic electronic health record system utilized


Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery

  • Completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma

  • Eligible for California medical licensure

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and an entrepreneurial approach to growing orthopedic services in the region

  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine and delivering an exceptional patient experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with sensitivity to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds


Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: $600,000 – $750,000

  • Guaranteed salary for two years, transitioning to productivity-based compensation in Year 3

  • Additional compensation available for exceeding call coverage or qualification benchmarks
