Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to provide high-quality outpatient and inpatient care, with a focus on individualized assessments, treatment planning, and rehabilitation. This position involves a split setting—60% inpatient/acute care in the mornings and outpatient clinic responsibilities in the afternoons.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans with measurable goals

Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions to restore function and reduce disability

Document patient progress, assessments, and care plans according to departmental and payer guidelines

Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure coordinated, effective treatment

Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and rehabilitation expectations
Required Qualifications

Certifications: AHA BLS, valid California Physical Therapy License

Experience: Background in outpatient and acute care physical therapy

Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Patient Populations: Adolescent through older adult
Clinical Expertise in the Following Areas

Orthopedic Diagnoses: Ankle sprains, cervicalgia, frozen shoulder, DDD, DJD, joint replacements, spinal/post-op rehab, chronic pain

Assessments: Range of motion (AROM/AAROM/PROM), pain and strength assessments, body mechanics, vital signs

Modalities & Equipment: Cryotherapy, E-stim, ultrasound, TENS, gait belts, walkers, lift devices

Documentation: Evaluations, plans of care, progress notes, reassessments, discharge summaries

Professional Skills: Time management, patient/family education, coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
