Position Summary

As a Sales Representative in our Small Business Services division, you’ll be responsible for driving new business within a defined geographic territory, targeting companies with 1–49 employees. Your mission: help small businesses thrive by introducing them to ADP’s payroll, HR, benefits, and tax solutions.

You’ll actively prospect and build client relationships through in-person meetings, cold calls, referrals, and strategic partnerships. Your focus will be on both acquiring new clients and growing existing accounts. Whether you have previous sales experience or not, our award-winning training will equip you with the skills and tools you need to succeed.

What You’ll Do

  • Grow Your Portfolio – Work independently and collaboratively within your region to meet sales goals and expand ADP’s client base.

  • Build Meaningful Relationships – Engage decision-makers, assess business needs, and offer tailored ADP solutions to meet them.

  • Expand Existing Accounts – Leverage your network and cultivate additional opportunities with current clients.

  • Act as a Trusted Advisor – Represent ADP with professionalism and integrity, building lasting partnerships with clients and internal teams.


What We’re Looking For

Required Traits:

  • A driven, enthusiastic self-starter with a positive mindset and strong communication skills.

  • Comfortable with cold calling and managing rejection while staying focused on results.

  • Curious and adaptable—always eager to learn and improve.

  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

Qualifications:

  • A college degree is a plus but not required. What matters most is your ability to connect, sell, and succeed.

  • 1–2 years of work experience (including internships) in sales, retail, customer service, business development, food service, or related industries.

  • Military experience is highly valued—we welcome the skills and leadership you bring.

Preferred:

  • Experience with meeting sales quotas or KPIs.

  • Familiarity with using social media and online tools for networking and prospecting.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $34,800 – $75,100/year (varies based on location, experience, and skills)

  • Commission: Uncapped earnings potential based on performance

  • Total Rewards: Includes health benefits, retirement savings, paid time off, and more
