Position Overview
CareOne Pharmacy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our Health and Wellness team. This full-time overnight position plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications, with a special focus on supporting the needs of the geriatric and long-term care (LTC) population.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence, medication safety, and community service. This position requires overnight coverage from Thursday through Wednesday, with shift hours from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekends.
Key Responsibilities

Interpret, implement, and adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance and operational consistency.

Review and evaluate medication orders for clinical appropriateness, including drug selection, dosage, potential interactions, contraindications, and route of administration.

Accurately dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling prescriptions per regulatory standards and facility protocols.

Monitor ongoing drug therapies, provide appropriate recommendations, and communicate necessary interventions to physicians and healthcare staff.

Provide IV dosing support and expertise as required by facility protocols and patient needs.

Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver technical and clinical support, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.

Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all communications with healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses, in accordance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.

Ensure all required documentation is obtained and maintained in compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies.

Report all actual or potential medication-related errors to the Pharmacy Manager promptly and follow appropriate incident procedures.

Advise facility personnel on safe medication management practices, including procurement, storage, administration, and disposal.

Perform additional duties or assignments as delegated by pharmacy leadership.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.

Must hold and maintain an active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Florida.

No current suspensions, sanctions, or exclusions from participation in any federal, state, or private healthcare programs.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

IV preparation and dosing experience is preferred.

Prior experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy is highly desirable.

Familiarity with Frameworks or ECM pharmacy systems is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate: $60.00 – $65.00 per hour
Median Estimate: $62.50/hour
Schedule: 10- to 12-hour shifts (overnight coverage)
