Role Description
This is a part-time contract role for an Art Teacher at EcoArts Kids in San Diego, CA. The Art Teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, curriculum development, teaching art education, painting, and creating engaging art projects for children. This is an on-site role at various locations and requires transporting art supplies.
Qualifications
- Experience as an art teacher, preferably with young children (ages 4-12).
- Strong classroom management skills to ensure a well-organized, positive learning environment.
- Passion for environmental conservation and a genuine commitment to nurturing environmental awareness in students.
- Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to teach fun and meaningful art projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff and families.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to various locations, especially La Jolla, within San Diego.
- Bonus: Experience in eco-art, sustainability education, or repurposing materials in art projects is a plus!
