Established in 1981, Dayton Freight is a privately owned, union-free LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) carrier headquartered in Dayton, Ohio. With 54 Service Centers across the Midwest, we provide fast and reliable 1-2 day shipping to thousands of locations in 13 states. Through our Strategic Alliance Network, we extend our services to customers throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Guam.

Dock Worker Responsibilities
As a Dock Worker at Dayton Freight, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading freight while ensuring damage-free handling. While this role does not involve working inside a warehouse, effective space utilization when loading freight is essential.

Conduct pre and post-trip inspections on all dock equipment

Accurately document freight control processes

Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and continuous improvement programs

Be available for flexible schedules, alternating shifts, and varied assignments

Follow all operational procedures and guidelines outlined in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual
Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old

Basic math skills

Proficient in English

Ability to pass a drug screening

Legally authorized to work in the United States
