Payroll Assistant – Part-Time

Working Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM (with a 15-minute unpaid break). Some flexibility may be required around payroll deadlines.

About the Role

We are seeking a Payroll Assistant to play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing of payroll and supporting the wider HR team. You will liaise with our external payroll provider, ensuring compliance and efficiency while delivering a high level of customer service. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced retail environment within a company that values dedication and results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input payroll data from our HRIS into the internal payroll system
  • Ensure payroll deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner
  • Address payroll queries, providing excellent customer service to internal teams and liaising with our external payroll provider
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation
  • Support the wider HR team with ad hoc administrative tasks

What You Bring

  • A keen eye for detail and a strong numerical aptitude
  • Payroll experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of HMRC legislation (preferred but not required)
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to support the wider HR team
