About the Role
North Shore Community College (NSCC) seeks a Part-Time Reference Librarian to join our Lynn Campus Library team. This role is ideal for candidates who are equity-minded, student-focused, and committed to fostering inclusive learning environments. You will provide high-quality instruction, research support, and library services in both virtual and in-person academic settings.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging information literacy instruction to individuals and groups.

Develop resources, tutorials, and innovative pedagogy to enhance student learning outcomes.

Collaborate with faculty and departments to support instruction, outreach, and collection development.

Oversee library operations during assigned hours, including supervising student workers.

Provide access services support using Koha ILS.

Assist with circulation, reference services, and cataloging.

Perform additional library duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Library Science, Library & Information Science, or equivalent training/experience. Current MLIS students are encouraged to apply.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and instructional skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse environments.

Fluency in an additional language (Spanish preferred).

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Must pass CORI/SORI and/or national background check.
