Are you a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills? We are looking for a Patient Access and Booking Clerk to join our team at Glan Clwyd Hospital.
This is a 12-month fixed-term/secondment position, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Patient Access and Booking Clerk
Efficient Booking and Scheduling:

Serve as the first point of contact for all patient referrals and inquiries.

Accurately manage patient appointments, waiting lists, and referrals using local patient administration systems.

Ensure that patients are booked following Local and National Access Targets.
Collaborative Team Support:

Work within a busy call centre environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Support a multi-disciplinary team to deliver patient-focused booking services.

Use initiative in complex situations, maintaining a calm and professional attitude.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Education: GCSE, NVQ3, or Equivalent, with an IT qualification preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, GP practice, or call centre environment is essential.

Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.

Knowledge: Understanding of the Data Protection Act.

Language: The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this role.
