Patient Administrator A&E Department

Job Summary

Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a high-performing and enthusiastic Patient Administrator to support the fast-paced A and E Department. Key Responsibilities

  • Handle front reception and majors administrative duties in A and E.

  • Liaise with patients, doctors, GPs, and external hospitals.

  • Register new referrals and manage outpatient bookings.

  • Use hospital systems (PAS, CRT) to update and track records.

  • Prepare clinical notes, manage correspondence, and maintain accurate filing.

  • Coordinate with clinical teams to support clinics and procedures.

  • Provide a responsive and professional front-line service to all visitors.

Person Specification

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.

  • Able to remain calm and effective in a busy healthcare setting.

  • Confident working with hospital IT systems (PAS and CRT experience is ideal).

  • Reliable team player with full flexibility for all shift times.
