Job Overview

Are you a creative communicator with a passion for patient engagement and digital content? Join Beacon Medical Group as a Patient Communications Assistant and play a key role in shaping how patients connect with healthcare services. In this hands-on, part-time role, you’ll help manage social media, website content, and community engagement events, working closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to support health campaigns and patient access to care.

Key Responsibilities

 Digital Content & Social Media

  • Manage and update the practice website in line with NHS digital strategies

  • Run and monitor Beacon’s Facebook, Twitter, and online review platforms

  • Create engaging health campaigns, notices, and newsletters

  • Track and report on website analytics

 Communications & Engagement

  • Respond to online patient feedback and reviews

  • Support patient engagement events and Patient Participation Group (PPG) meetings

  • Design communication materials and waiting room content

  • Develop and coordinate local campaigns with GPs, nurses, and social prescribing teams

 Admin & Governance

  • Contribute to the Group’s communications strategy and SOPs

  • Ensure all communications align with NHS accessibility and content guidelines

  • Handle sensitive data with confidentiality

  • Participate in governance, risk, and safety procedures

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • 5+ GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (must include English & Maths) (Essential)

  • ICT-related qualification (Essential)

  • Level 3 Digital Marketing (Desirable)

 Experience:

  • Website and social media content management (Essential)

  • Writing professional, engaging copy for diverse audiences (Essential)

  • Canva or similar design tools (Desirable)

  • Knowledge of NHS campaigns and services (Desirable)
