Compensation

Pay Range: $21.92 – $31.25/hour

Job Purpose
The Patient Services Representative improves the overall health of our communities by answering and directing calls, coordinating referrals, and managing patient health records while ensuring a welcoming experience for every patient.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for patients with excellent customer service.

Answer and direct incoming calls; determine needs of caller.

Provide accurate information about CHAS Health services, locations, and providers.

Process requests for health records while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Maintain and retrieve electronic health records with accuracy.

Complete and track referrals based on urgency, insurance requirements, and network availability.

Document patient cases and referral details in medical records.

Support CHAS Health’s Mission and Core Values in all tasks.
Qualifications
-
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).

Experience: Familiarity with EHRs, release of information, and databases preferred.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
-
Compassionate, patient-centered approach.
-
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver’s license and insurance required.

Physical Demands

Sitting at a workstation for most of the day.

Light movement around the facility and occasional lifting (up to 35 lbs).
