We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Pathway Tracker – INTERNAL to join the Women’s Services Team at Ysbyty Gwynedd for a fixed-term, 3-month opportunity. Please note, this role is open only to current employees of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB). As a Patient Pathway Tracker – INTERNAL, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients progress smoothly and accurately through their care pathways, aligned with Welsh Government RTT guidelines. This secondment opportunity offers valuable experience in working alongside operational teams to maintain accurate waiting lists and improve service efficiency. Candidates must secure line manager approval before applying.
Your Role as a Patient Pathway Tracker – INTERNAL
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Patient Pathway Tracker – INTERNAL will be responsible for:

Tracking patient progress through care pathways per Welsh Government Referral to Treatment (RTT) standards.

Liaising with clinical, administrative, and operational teams to ensure pathway accuracy and effective data reporting.

Producing reports to support management decisions and meetings.

Maintaining high standards of data quality and assisting with performance tracking of surgical waiting lists.
Patient Pathway Tracker – INTERNAL: Core Responsibilities
Key Tasks & Data Accuracy
As a Patient Pathway Tracker – INTERNAL, your role will include:

Collecting and validating RTT data across PAS systems.

Reporting accurate data to Women’s Site Management Teams in a timely manner.

Identifying and resolving discrepancies in RTT statuses by working with relevant departments.

Assisting with Cancer Services in supporting the 31/62-day pathway targets.

Attending meetings across Health Board sites as an RTT subject matter expert.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential

Diploma in an administrative field or equivalent experience

GCSE English and Maths

Working knowledge of RTT guidelines

Strong Microsoft Excel skills
