Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR professional to manage payroll and benefits administration while supporting various core functions of the Human Resources department. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and high-quality service delivery across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of payroll processing, employee benefits, California labor laws, and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Administration:
    Accurately process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring timely payments and adherence to federal, state, and local tax and labor regulations. Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies.

  • Benefits Management:
    Oversee all aspects of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and other voluntary benefits. Manage annual open enrollment, liaise with vendors, and assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure full compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, with a particular emphasis on California labor laws. Keep HR practices aligned with legal standards and best practices.

  • Employee Support:
    Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and general HR matters in a timely and professional manner. Provide guidance and assistance to employees during onboarding and offboarding processes.

  • HR Operations:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS). Monitor data integrity and support HR reporting needs. Help implement and enforce HR policies and procedures.

  • Performance & Relations Support:
    Assist with employee relations matters and contribute to performance management processes. Support initiatives that foster a positive and productive work environment.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $115,000, depending on experience and qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in payroll processing and benefits administration

  • Strong working knowledge of California labor laws and compliance requirements

  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and payroll software systems

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with integrity
