Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR professional to manage payroll and benefits administration while supporting various core functions of the Human Resources department. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and high-quality service delivery across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of payroll processing, employee benefits, California labor laws, and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration:
Accurately process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring timely payments and adherence to federal, state, and local tax and labor regulations. Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies. -
Benefits Management:
Oversee all aspects of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and other voluntary benefits. Manage annual open enrollment, liaise with vendors, and assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues. -
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, with a particular emphasis on California labor laws. Keep HR practices aligned with legal standards and best practices. -
Employee Support:
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and general HR matters in a timely and professional manner. Provide guidance and assistance to employees during onboarding and offboarding processes. -
HR Operations:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS). Monitor data integrity and support HR reporting needs. Help implement and enforce HR policies and procedures. -
Performance & Relations Support:
Assist with employee relations matters and contribute to performance management processes. Support initiatives that foster a positive and productive work environment.
Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $115,000, depending on experience and qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in payroll processing and benefits administration

Strong working knowledge of California labor laws and compliance requirements

Proficiency with HRIS platforms and payroll software systems

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
