About the Role
First HR Connect is seeking a meticulous and reliable Payroll Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. Key Responsibilities

Process payroll transactions, including wages, overtime, and deductions

Maintain accurate payroll records and update employee data

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws

Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies

Prepare payroll reports and summaries for management

Manage payroll filing and record-keeping systems

Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee information

Support audits and payroll-related investigations

Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Finance/Accounting preferred)

Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role

Strong knowledge of payroll software and payroll processing

Excellent numerical and analytical skills

Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)

Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance standards

Strong attention to detail and confidentiality handling sensitive data

Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills
