About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll Processing Specialist with experience using Sage100 Contractor payroll software and Workmax (or similar tools). In this role, you will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for one of our clients while maintaining confidentiality and supporting a people-first, values-driven workplace.
Key Responsibilities

Process weekly payroll using Sage100 Contractor and Workmax.

Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Verify timesheets, classifications, and compensation changes.

Manage deductions (benefits, taxes, retirement contributions, etc.).

Prepare pay statements and required payroll reports.

Support year-end processes (W-2s, tax filings, audits).

Collaborate with HR and Finance to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries.

(Preferred) Experience with union payroll and prevailing wage.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist/Processor.

Proficiency with Sage payroll systems (required).

Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulations.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Technical Requirements
