Responsibilities:

As our Payroll Specialist, you will manage the complete weekly payroll cycle for multiple pay groups using Payroll+ software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You’ll be the main point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries from employees and external parties, proactively addressing and resolving issues while identifying potential process improvements in collaboration with various stakeholders. Your responsibilities include processing employee payroll changes (rates, withholdings, direct deposits, garnishments, 401k), maintaining accurate records, and handling payroll tax remittances (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually). You will also assist with external payroll audits, prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports, and distribute year-end tax documents (W-2, etc.). Generating payroll reports as needed, maintaining wage and deduction tables in the payroll system, and staying current with payroll regulations and best practices are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience processing salaried, hourly, and commission payroll.
  • 2+ years of direct payroll experience in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work regularly in an office environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and tax laws.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Excel.
