Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for processing payroll for the following groups:

  • Facilities Management and Public Safety officers (weekly)

  • Part-time faculty (semi-monthly)

  • Administrative staff and student employees (bi-weekly)

  • Full-time faculty (monthly)

Additional duties include:

  • Using systems such as Paylocity (online payroll), Kronos (time and attendance), Colleague, Docuware, and NextGen (student employment systems) to manage payroll operations and troubleshoot issues

  • Maintaining Excel spreadsheets to track key payroll data, including new hires, separations, salaries, and budget allocations

  • Collaborating with Human Resources and other departments to ensure the accuracy of payroll-related information

  • Performing other related payroll duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business Management required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll and general accounting experience, including a working knowledge of general ledger accounts

  • Proficiency in integrated accounting systems and web-based payroll/timekeeping software required

  • Experience with Paylocity, Colleague, Kronos, NextGen, and Docuware strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with union payroll practices is a plus

  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) are required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat

  • Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including students, faculty, and staff
