Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to oversee and execute accurate, timely payroll operations. In this role, you will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll, managing ACH and Positive Pay file transmissions, entering and updating payroll data, and reconciling key accounts such as insurance and child support. You’ll also support multistate payroll functions and contribute to audits, reporting, and special projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly payroll, including ACH and Positive Pay transmissions

Maintain and archive payroll records and timesheets

Enter and update employee payroll data, such as pay rate adjustments and deductions

Reconcile payroll-related accounts including insurance and child support

Generate and distribute payroll reports to management

Support audits, special initiatives, and ad hoc reporting requests

Serve as a resource for payroll-related questions from staff and management
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
At least 3 years of payroll processing experience, with related accounting responsibilities

Background in general accounting functions directly tied to payroll
Required Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in ACH and Positive Pay file transmissions

Strong knowledge of pay data entry and account reconciliation (e.g., insurance, child support)

Experience managing multistate payrolls

Thorough understanding of payroll processes and their impact on organizational goals

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

Exceptional attention to detail and effective communication skills

Dependable team player with the ability to work independently

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook, and advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

Experience with Paycom is highly preferred
