Job Summary
The Payroll Specialist II plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This position supports the Payroll Management team in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering exceptional payroll services to employees across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Time and Attendance Coordinator to review employee hours for payroll submission and help resolve discrepancies.

Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy, making necessary adjustments, and validating payroll for finalization.

Investigate and resolve pay discrepancies.

Manage pay card transactions, including processing and reconciliation.

Respond to employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.

Maintain up-to-date payroll records by processing new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.

Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.

Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and records.

Collaborate closely with departments such as Compensation, Benefits, Labor Relations, and Field Operations.

Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of payroll processes including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and tax compliance.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with payroll systems, preferably ADP and SAP.

5–7 years of related payroll experience required.

FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) is preferred.
