About the Role

TalentPro at Pinion is seeking a technically confident Payroll Specialist to lead full-cycle, multi-state payroll operations for clients using UKG Ready. This role is ideal for professionals who excel in client-facing environments, thrive with digital systems, and want opportunities for growth and leadership in payroll and HR operations.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will deliver accurate, timely payroll services, maintain trusted client relationships, and contribute to process improvement while collaborating in a fully remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Execution: Manage full-cycle payroll for assigned multi-state clients using UKG Ready; ensure accurate calculations, time tracking, and paycheck processing.

  • Client Relationships: Serve as primary contact for payroll inquiries, respond within 24 hours, and maintain high client satisfaction.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance payroll workflows and collaborate with peers to share best practices.

  • Growth & Leadership: Take initiative in mentoring peers, adopting additional responsibilities, and exploring supervisory or client success tracks.

  • Pacific Time Support: Work Pacific Time hours as needed for client alignment, including during peak payroll periods.

Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Experienced in UKG Ready and full-cycle payroll, ideally across multiple states.

  • Client Service Orientation: Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

  • Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with agricultural payroll and Form 943 requirements is preferred.

  • Digital Fluency: Skilled in navigating payroll systems and remote collaboration tools.

  • Critical Thinking: Ability to identify root causes and implement solutions efficiently.

  • Time Management: Skilled at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in fast-paced, remote settings.

Bonus Skills (Optional but Valued):

  • FPC or CPP certification

  • Spanish proficiency

  • Supervisory experience or leadership aspirations
