Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver oral and maxillofacial surgical care for pediatric patients, from infancy through adolescence

  • Manage cases involving jaw deformities, cleft and craniofacial anomalies, trauma, and pathology

  • Provide care for children with complex medical needs and developmental delays

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in developing and executing comprehensive treatment plans

  • Participate in education and training of dental and surgical residents

  • Contribute to ongoing clinical research efforts within the department


Required Education and Experience

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited institution

  • Completion of an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

  • Previous experience in a hospital-based oral and maxillofacial surgery setting

  • Experience treating medically complex and developmentally delayed pediatric patients


Required Credentials

  • Active Washington State Dental License (or eligibility for licensure)

  • Medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Seattle Children’s (must be obtained prior to start and maintained in good standing)

  • Additional education and/or experience in teaching, research, or healthcare administration preferred

Please note: Medical staff privileges at Seattle Children’s are provisional during the first year and automatically conclude upon termination of employment. Individuals may reapply for privileges as non-employees if qualified.


Compensation Details
The salary range is based on a full-time schedule (2080 hours per year) and is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity. Offers may vary within the posted range.

Note for out-of-state applicants: Compensation may differ for roles located outside of the Seattle area, based on geographic and market considerations.
