Key Responsibilities

Deliver oral and maxillofacial surgical care for pediatric patients, from infancy through adolescence
Manage cases involving jaw deformities, cleft and craniofacial anomalies, trauma, and pathology
Provide care for children with complex medical needs and developmental delays
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in developing and executing comprehensive treatment plans
Participate in education and training of dental and surgical residents
Contribute to ongoing clinical research efforts within the department

Required Education and Experience

DDS or DMD from an accredited institution
Completion of an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Previous experience in a hospital-based oral and maxillofacial surgery setting
Experience treating medically complex and developmentally delayed pediatric patients

Required Credentials

Active Washington State Dental License (or eligibility for licensure)
Medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Seattle Children’s (must be obtained prior to start and maintained in good standing)
Additional education and/or experience in teaching, research, or healthcare administration preferred

Please note: Medical staff privileges at Seattle Children’s are provisional during the first year and automatically conclude upon termination of employment. Individuals may reapply for privileges as non-employees if qualified.

Compensation Details
The salary range is based on a full-time schedule (2080 hours per year) and is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity. Offers may vary within the posted range.

Note for out-of-state applicants: Compensation may differ for roles located outside of the Seattle area, based on geographic and market considerations.
