Pensions Technical Director – Leading Consultancy
Oliver James is proud to partner with a top-tier pensions consultancy seeking a Pensions Technical Director to join their team from any of their UK offices. This role focuses on providing technical expertise and leadership for de-risking projects.
About the Role
As a Director, you will work closely with clients to understand their challenges, develop strategic solutions, and provide technical oversight to ensure successful implementation. You will guide teams in delivering solutions related to auditing data, benefit calculations, bulk data rectification, benefit reconstruction, and data cleansing. While GMP expertise is valuable, this role is not solely focused on GMP work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies to address client needs and oversee implementation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams.
- Review and refine data auditing, benefit calculations, and data improvement processes.
- Support de-risking projects through effective problem-solving and technical oversight.
Role Requirements:
- FIA qualification (or equivalent experience); actuarial background preferred but not essential.
- Extensive UK DB pensions experience, with a strong technical foundation.
- In-depth knowledge of manual benefit calculations, processes, and GMP equalization and rectification.
