Essential Job Functions

Educate and support patients in understanding their medications and treatment plans.

Lead and manage staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, providing ongoing training to address knowledge gaps and foster professional development.

Oversee all aspects of daily pharmacy operations, including:

Patient safety and care

Professional practice standards

Regulatory compliance

Quality assurance

Customer service excellence

Staff supervision

Inventory control

Financial performance and loss prevention

Workflow efficiency

Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with HIPAA and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) regulations.

Ensure full adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.

Enforce compliance with facility-specific policies and procedures.
Requirements
Education & Licensure
-
Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.

Active pharmacist license and certifications as required by federal and state laws in the practicing state.
Preferred Experience & Skills
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably retail; familiarity with 340B is a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Outstanding patient service and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
