Per Diem Pharmacist

Job Overview

Nuvem is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused per-diem pharmacist to join our team at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Ottumwa, IA. In this role, you’ll manage pharmacy operations in collaboration with the pharmacy manager, ensuring high-quality care and a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medication education and support to patients.

• Oversee pharmacy operations, including patient safety, quality assurance, customer service, inventory, and staff management.

• Work closely with clinic providers and clinical staff to offer drug-related education and contribute to patient care.

• Stay current with HIPAA regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

• Promote a caring and enthusiastic pharmacy team culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.

• Current state and federal licensing/certification.

• Preferred: 2+ years of pharmacy experience, particularly in a retail setting, and knowledge of 340b programs.

• Strong communication and patient service skills.

Hours

• Monday to Friday, no major holidays or weekends.
