Key Responsibilities

  • Teach high-quality instrumental lessons to individuals and small ensembles

  • Set high expectations for student engagement, progress, and behaviour

  • Deliver well-planned, inspiring lessons aligned with the music curriculum

  • Lead rehearsals and support school performances

  • Use data and feedback to assess progress and guide instruction

  • Encourage creativity, musical exploration, and a love for music

  • Collaborate with school staff to enrich the school’s cultural offer

What We’re Looking For

 Grade 8 (or equivalent) in at least one musical instrument
 Strong playing ability; additional instruments highly desirable
 Confident classroom management and a nurturing, enthusiastic approach
 Ability to arrange music and adapt pieces across a variety of genres
 Experience leading rehearsals, preparing performances, and working with students of varying skill levels
 Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
