Pharmacist Job Overview:

As a Pharmacist, your primary responsibility is to provide and manage pharmaceutical care while educating patients on their health and medications. You will collaborate with doctors, other pharmacists, and healthcare team members to ensure that patients’ drug regimens are managed effectively. Given the crucial role you play in patient health, a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceuticals and a strong commitment to regulatory standards are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute opening and closing procedures, either personally or by delegating to a staff pharmacist, ensuring strict adherence to facility protocols.

  • Represent the facility in all state and federal regulatory audits, visits, and communications.

  • Supervise staff pharmacists directly and ensure adherence to operational standards.

  • Collaborate with the Clean Room Operations Manager to set production goals, track progress, and address any delays or issues affecting batch production.

  • Write and maintain operational and production Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Serve as a liaison with the quality department to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Maintain compliance with all relevant state and federal regulatory agencies.

  • Assist in the documentation and completion of Adverse Drug Event forms.

  • Provide clinical answers to healthcare professionals and offer product information when needed.

  • Support order verification within the computer order processing queue to ensure the accuracy of both the facility and the products.

  • Review and verify all batch records and associated documentation.

  • Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing operational discipline and monitoring aseptic behaviors.

  • Utilize tools and metrics (Key Performance Indicators) to monitor staff productivity, deliverables, timelines, and the quality of work to adjust staffing levels and operational processes as necessary to maintain operational effectiveness.

  • Understand the importance and impact of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards in all tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $50.00 – $65.00 per hour
