Position Overview

EA Team Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Pharmacist to support patient care at South Brooklyn Health, a well-regarded healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY. This is a full-time, contract-based role with a guaranteed 40 hours per week over a 13-week period, offering the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in medication dispensing, sterile processing, and working within both IV room and EMR environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to patient safety and therapeutic outcomes in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense medications in accordance with physicians’ orders and hospital policies.

  • Prepare and compound sterile products, including IV admixtures, in compliance with USP <797> standards.

  • Verify prescriptions and review patient medication regimens to detect potential interactions, contraindications, or dosage errors.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.

  • Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and pharmacy dispensing systems.

  • Participate in the daily operations of the pharmacy department, including inventory control, medication storage, and regulatory compliance.

  • Provide drug information and guidance to healthcare staff as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active and valid license to practice as a Pharmacist in the State of New York (issued by NYSED). Primary Source Verification required.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Pharmacist in a healthcare or hospital setting.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing systems.

    • Sterile processing and IV room experience.

    • Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems is strongly preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safe medication practices.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with clinical teams.


Schedule Details

  • Full-time contract

  • 8-hour shifts, five days per week

  • Shift times vary (Day, Evening, or Night)

  • Monday through Friday availability required

  • On-site work only


Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $90.00 – $100.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

  • Weekly guaranteed 40 hours
