Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our team. This position involves the preparation and dispensation of prescribed medications, as well as providing guidance and education to patients on the proper use of pharmaceuticals. The role requires a deep understanding of medications, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care and safety.

Pharmacists in this position serve as a vital link between physicians and patients, ensuring accurate medication use and offering expert health advice. You will play a central role in improving patient outcomes by addressing both medical needs and promoting overall wellness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prescription Verification & Dispensation

    • Accurately review and interpret physicians’ prescriptions to ensure appropriateness and compliance with legal standards.

    • Dispense prescribed medications in accordance with pharmaceutical standards and patient-specific needs.

  • Pharmacy Operations

    • Organize and maintain the pharmacy layout to support efficient identification and retrieval of medications and supplies.

    • Oversee inventory management, including stocking, labeling, and monitoring the condition and expiration dates of medications and products.

  • Patient Interaction & Support

    • Listen attentively to patients, identify their health-related concerns, and provide accurate information, guidance, and solutions.

    • Recommend over-the-counter products and provide consultation on parapharmaceuticals and health-related items, including cosmetics.

  • Clinical Services

    • Administer basic medical services such as immunizations, blood pressure monitoring, and temperature checks when appropriate.

    • Prepare customized medications, including compounding, following appropriate formulas and dosage calculations tailored to individual patients.

  • Documentation & Compliance

    • Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories and documentation for controlled substances.

    • Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and safety procedures governing pharmaceutical practice.

  • Professional Development

    • Stay current with advancements in pharmaceutical science by attending professional conferences, workshops, and continuing education opportunities.

    • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to support integrated care delivery.


Qualifications

  • Licensure & Education

    • Bachelor’s or Doctoral degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacology.

    • Valid and current license to practice pharmacy as required by state law.

  • Experience & Skills

    • Proven experience as a licensed pharmacist.

    • Strong understanding of pharmacological therapies, dosage calculations, and drug interactions.

    • Proficiency in pharmacy information systems (e.g., MediTech, Mediware) and Microsoft Office applications.

    • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.

    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered and compassionate approach.

    • High degree of professional integrity and ethical conduct.


Work Environment & Schedule

  • This is an on-site position, requiring physical presence at the pharmacy.

  • The schedule consists of Monday through Friday shifts, with potential flexibility based on patient needs and staffing.
