Matrix Providers is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Pharmacist to join our exceptional healthcare team supporting active-duty Military Service Members and their families at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. As a valued member of our team, you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care within a multidisciplinary medical environment, delivering high-quality services to those who serve our nation.
This position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule, with working hours between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM, providing work-life balance along with a full benefits package and competitive compensation.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy

Education: Graduate from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of professional pharmacy experience post-graduation

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Licensure: Must hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist in any U.S. state or territory
Primary Responsibilities

Perform the full scope of professional pharmacy services in accordance with established protocols and facility capabilities.

Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including medication preparation, dispensing, and patient education.

Counsel patients on appropriate medication use, including potential side effects, interactions, dosage, and proper storage.

Conduct thorough reviews of patient profiles to monitor medication therapy and assess safety and efficacy.

Verify prescription details, ensuring:

Correct drug selection and dosage

Identification of drug interactions and therapeutic duplications

Age-specific dosing appropriateness

Allergy alerts and medication history

Communicate and intervene with prescribing providers when discrepancies or concerns arise regarding a patient’s medication regimen.

Compound medications when required, following applicable standards and regulations.

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all prescriptions prepared or processed by pharmacy technicians or support staff.

Maintain strict inventory control, particularly for scheduled and controlled substances, ensuring secure storage and regulatory compliance.

Accurately document and maintain records for all controlled substances in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Uphold pharmacy security protocols and ensure confidentiality and integrity of medication handling processes.
