Join Our Team as an Inpatient Pharmacist!
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications? We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Inpatient Pharmacist to join our client’s healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, reviewing patient profiles, and promoting optimal medication management practices to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately verify and dispense prescription medications in accordance with established protocols.

Monitor and evaluate medication therapies to ensure safety, efficacy, and appropriateness for each patient.

Provide thorough counseling and education to patients and healthcare professionals regarding medication usage, side effects, and best practices.

Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes and address any medication-related concerns.

Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Mentor and train pharmacy interns and support staff to promote professional development and uphold high standards of pharmacy practice.
Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of experience as a pharmacist, preferably within an inpatient setting.

Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations, medication safety protocols, and best practices.

Experience working with pharmacy dispensing systems, sterile processing, intravenous (IV) preparation, and EMR software is highly preferred.

Proficiency in Spanish language skills is an advantage, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.

Must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree and possess a valid New York State Education Department (NYSED) pharmacist license.
