Schedule & Work Locations

  • Floating Coverage:
    • Tampa (Base Location): 40%
    • Sarasota: 40%
    • Fort Myers: 20%
  • Shift Variability:
    • A mix of days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations

Key Responsibilities

  • Process telephone orders from customers, utilizing the Order Receipt and Order Entry systems
  • Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy (BOP) state regulations for radioactive orders
  • Prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals per prescription and regulatory guidelines
  • Conduct quality control tests and package doses for shipment
  • Perform assays to verify identity, purity, and potency of medications
  • Manage inventory and regulatory compliance, including stockroom maintenance
  • Engage in customer insights and business process improvements
  • Shadow customer sites and sales consultants for a deeper understanding of operations
  • Review pharmacy performance metrics and complete training in Operational Excellence
  • May serve as Pharmacist in Charge if required
  • Train newly hired pharmacy associates
  • Deliver doses if necessary

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and/or PharmD required
  • Licensing: Valid Pharmacist license (or in the process of obtaining one) in the relevant state
  • Training: Minimum 200 hours of academic training in nuclear pharmacy from an accredited program
  • Skills & Requirements:
    • Knowledge of biohazardous waste management
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Manual dexterity for precise handling of small objects
    • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and meet physical demands
    • Valid driver’s license and comfort driving in various weather conditions
    • Willingness to work varied shifts, on-call, weekends, and holidays
    • Intermediate computer proficiency
  • Preferred:
    • Authorized User certification (Nuclear Pharmacy training can be provided)

📌 Authorized User Certification Requirements:
A minimum of 700 hours of specialized training, including 200 hours of coursework and 500 hours of supervised experience in radiation physics, instrumentation, protection, chemistry, mathematics, and radiation biology.
