About the Role
HSS is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team on a per diem, night shift basis. This role focuses on the accurate dispensing, procurement, and verification of medications while providing essential drug information to healthcare professionals and patients. The pharmacist plays a key role in ensuring safe and effective pharmaceutical care for patients across all age groups.
Responsibilities
- Review, process, and verify physician orders and patient medication profiles.
- Dispense and procure medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
- Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
- Maintain compliance with managed care contracts and insurance payor requirements.
- Act as a liaison between physicians and insurance providers, assisting with enrollment, contract compliance, and payment resolutions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
- Valid State Board of Pharmacy license.
- Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience (IV Room preferred).
