Pharmacist Position – Flatwater Inc.

Flatwater Inc., a subsidiary of Ho-Chunk Inc., is seeking a qualified candidate to manage pharmaceutical services safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include processing prescription orders in the IHS Electronic Health Record (EHR), conducting drug utilization reviews, counseling patients on medication use, managing inventory and controlled substances, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify prescription orders in the IHS EHR system.
  • Assess drug interactions, contraindications, and renal function.
  • Counsel patients on medication use and safety.
  • Monitor medication therapy and identify potential issues.
  • Ensure accuracy of pharmaceuticals prepared by technical staff.
  • Provide medication-related information to clinical teams.
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory and controlled substance records.
  • Report adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
  • Consult with specialists to enhance patient care and support quality improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Pharmacy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate) from an ACPE-accredited institution.
  • Valid, unrestricted U.S. pharmacy license.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy systems (IHS EHR, RPMS, ScriptPro, Omnicell) and general computer applications.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing procedures and patient needs.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA standards and medical privacy regulations.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Routine use of office and pharmacy equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods.
  • Effective communication with patients through glass windows.
