Pharmacist – Flatwater Inc.
Flatwater Inc., a subsidiary of Ho-Chunk Inc., seeks a highly qualified pharmacist to ensure safe and efficient pharmaceutical services. This role involves processing prescriptions in the IHS Electronic Health Record (EHR), conducting comprehensive drug utilization reviews, and counseling patients on medication use. Additional responsibilities include inventory control, maintaining records for controlled substances, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
Key Responsibilities:

Process prescription orders in the IHS EHR, verifying accuracy, dosing, and allergy checks.

Identify drug interactions, contraindications, and assess renal function.

Counsel patients on medication safety and usage.

Monitor medication therapy and address medication-related issues.

Oversee pharmaceutical product accuracy and provide medication guidance to clinical staff.

Manage pharmaceutical inventory and controlled substances.

Document medication interactions, adverse drug reactions, and medication errors.

Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:

Licensed pharmacist in any U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

ACPE-accredited degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Pharmacy).

Proficiency in pharmacy systems (IHS EHR, RPMS, ScriptPro, Omnicell) and general computer applications.

Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medication security best practices.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Office setting with routine use of computers, phones, and standard equipment.

Requires standing, walking, bending, and extended computer use.

Effective communication through glass partitions with patients.
