About the Role
This full-time position involves a rotating schedule across various shifts (0730–1800, 0800–1600, 0800–1400, 0800–1500) totaling 36–40 hours per week. It includes rotating weekend coverage and shared on-call duties (approximately 6–9 call shifts per month, with occasional call-backs to the pharmacy).
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will:

Ensure timely availability and integrity of medications for patient administration

Monitor pharmacy inventory and manage IV solution recycling

Provide evidence-based drug information to healthcare professionals
-
Verify medication preparation accuracy by technicians and other pharmacists

Compound and prepare medications per USP standards and regulatory requirements

Deliver clinical pharmacy services, including:

Medication counseling
-
Participation in multidisciplinary rounds

MAR reviews
-
Monitoring and reporting of adverse drug reactions and medication errors

Pharmacokinetic dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring

Minimum Qualifications
-
Master’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
-
Minimum of 6 months of professional experience
-
Current pharmacist license in the state of Montana
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with USP 795/797/800 standards, sterile/non-sterile compounding, and hazardous drug handling
-
Familiarity with inpatient care, emergency and critical care practices

Experience with outpatient services, including long-term care and oncology infusion
-
Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) medication management standards
About Holy Rosary Hospital
Holy Rosary Hospital is a full-service acute care facility serving an 11-county region in Eastern Montana. The campus includes physician clinics, long-term care, hospice, and palliative services. We also offer specialized care including emergency and trauma services, outpatient infusion (oncology and non-oncology), and walk-in care seven days a week.

Location Requirement
Miles City is located approximately 140 miles east of Billings, MT. Candidates must reside in or relocate to Miles City and be able to respond to urgent patient care needs within 20 minutes when on call.

This position requires mobility and physical capability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, manual dexterity, climbing, hearing, and speaking.
