About the Job
The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a part-time, experienced pharmacist to lead and manage the pharmacy department within our rehabilitation facility.
Key Responsibilities:

Review physician orders thoroughly and evaluate medication appropriateness based on each patient’s medical history and rehabilitation plan, making recommendations as needed.

Provide clear and thorough medication counseling to patients and their caregivers, including information on drug names, dosages, side effects, and proper administration methods.

Monitor patient responses to medication therapy by reviewing lab results and clinical indicators, while identifying and addressing any potential adverse drug reactions.

Accurately dispense medications, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and ensure timely ordering of pharmaceuticals, all in compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards.

Collaborate as an integral member of the healthcare team during rounds with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other professionals to develop effective medication management strategies and enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree

Active and current Louisiana Pharmacist License
-
Minimum of two years of hospital pharmacy experience
