What You’ll Do

  • Interpret and verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Review prescriber medication orders for correct dosing, scheduling, allergies, drug interactions, and potential incompatibilities.

  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians, their teams, and pet parents as needed.

  • Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and interns, providing training and coaching as necessary.

  • Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with federal and state legal requirements and pharmacy policies.

  • Uphold operational standards including performance metrics, safety, and compliance.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

  • Travel may be required for the position.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (RPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).

  • Active pharmacist license in Kentucky (in good standing) and other states or credentials as needed.

  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.

  • Leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage and guide a team.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
