Company Overview
MultiCare’s history in the Pacific Northwest dates back to 1882, beginning with the establishment of Tacoma’s first hospital.
Since then, we’ve grown from a single, hospital-focused organization in Tacoma to the largest community-based, locally governed health system in Washington state.
Today, MultiCare offers a wide-reaching network that includes more than 300 locations providing primary care, urgent care, pediatric care, and specialty services throughout Washington, Idaho, and Oregon — along with 13 hospitals. Our dedicated team of over 20,000 employees, providers, and volunteers proudly serves patients from across the Pacific Northwest.
While our organization has evolved significantly over time, our commitment to the health and well-being of the communities we serve has remained constant. Rooted in our mission, vision, and values, we continue working to expand access to high-quality care and meet the changing needs of those we serve — both now and in the future.
