Essential Job Functions:

  • Accurately fulfill prescription needs for customers and provide necessary patient counseling and pharmaceutical care.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA, in the practice of pharmacy.

  • Maintain a professional image through appearance, conduct, and attitude while adhering to pharmacy standards and company dress code.

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the local trade area, customer needs, and competitors.

  • Foster a positive Pharmacy department image by providing excellent service, and building cooperative relationships with customers, employees, and vendors.

  • Oversee stock replenishment, inventory control, record keeping, security measures, sanitation, scheduling, equipment maintenance, pricing, returns, budgeting, and compliance with product recall procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records for controlled substances (narcotics), ensuring proper inventory management and security.

  • Follow all company policies for handling pharmacy products from authorized sources, primarily Peyton.

  • Utilize all accuracy tools, including the accuracy scanner and 24-Hour Post Dispensing Audit, to ensure precision in dispensing.

  • Keep all records required for legal compliance, company policies, and any additional management reports.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area to present a sanitary and efficient environment for customers.

  • Ensure timely and compliant handling of product returns per company policy.

  • Keep all pharmacy equipment in working order, including computers, printers, scanners, and cash registers.

  • Ensure proper signage and documentation is maintained throughout the pharmacy.

  • Perform all essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or recognition as a Foreign Pharmacist Equivalent by the Board of Pharmacy.

  • Current State Pharmacist Licensure in good standing.

  • Effective communication skills.

Desired Previous Experience:

  • 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
